The Space Hotel

We afforded our visitors a rare glimpse into the future of travel, with a digital activation. We recreated the Space Hotel, due to launch in the year 2020, and by using the technology of a 360 degree camera rig, were able to capture travellers experiencing zero gravity and floating inside the Space Hotel itself. This was aptly named the ‘Space Selfie’ which was widely shared across social media.

 

Results

In just 4 hours, our Space Hotel managed to attract 240 visitors. Beginning with a zero base, our social pages grew to 357 people on Facebook, with 743 followers on Twitter. Over 1 347 visitors accessed and shared their Space-selfie videos from the emailed invitation and link. With the most important result being a booked out show in both Johannesburg and Cape Town.
